ARTIST STATEMENT The space and context is always the starting point in my artistic work. I want to praise and celebrate places, spaces, everyday life and all that keeps on being alive. I always research new spaces and contexts for my works – often outside the art world. I find it interesting to combine art with daily life and daily life with celebration. The personal meeting with the audience is central. I want to give every person an own experience and I want the audience to go home relieved, touched or surprised. I want to take care of the audience and give them something new. I appreciate true reactions and beings. Honesty and fragile is important words when I create my art pieces. I am interested in contrasts between the basic routines and needs of life and the formal, dressy and glamorous celebration. I want to be here and now in this place and moment and I’m wishing the audience to be it as well.
